Krsna is the feminine blue incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the preserver. He was a cow herder, flute player, and romantic lover of Radha. He told the Bhagavad Gita, which explains the immortality of the soul and the different yogic paths, to Arjuna on the battlefield. Krsna embraces devotion as the simplest path to God and his followers dance in bliss at his holy feet. This is a close-up of a life-sized painting I did when I was about 21 years old. I painted this image so I could have God to talk to in my bedroom. His eyes keep me believeing in love when all else fails. |
