Shiva and Shakti in the eternal dance of life. The static form of Shiva ( the male principle) and the dynamic creative energy of Shakti ( the feminine principle) join in a cosmic union of opposites - a dance which has no beginning or end with alternate periods of movement and rest. Tantra is the study of this desire that motivates the world of phenomena. This desire first separates the Shakti from Shiva and then when it achieves it's highest state in evolution - the human - it seeks union again. When desire for union becomes powerful enough, the Kundalini (goddess energy) is awakened and rushes through the chakras reaching the crown chakra, where Shiva sits, and is united with him. Done with my left hand. |
